Will it run on my computer?

Windows 10 (22H2) or 11, on a regular PC or a Snapdragon laptop. Or a Mac with Apple silicon on macOS 13 or later. No fancy graphics card needed. Intel Macs and Linux aren’t supported.

Which speech model should I pick?

English? Parakeet Unified: fast, accurate, and it shows your words live. Other European languages? Parakeet Ultra. Anything else? Whisper large v3 turbo speaks 99 languages. Total show-off.

Does my voice leave my computer?

Nope, not by default. It stays home and turns into text right there. It only goes out if you choose an online service, with your own key.

Does it work offline?

It does! Once your model is downloaded, switch off the Wi-Fi and dictate from a cabin in the woods.

Does AI cleanup cost money?

Free if it runs on your computer (Granite, Llama, Gemma, Phi, or anything through Ollama). Online cleanup uses your own account, so their pricing applies. Parlato never charges a cent.
